El Viaje De Anna Maria- Feature

Inspired by a true story, El Viaje de Ana Maria (Ana Maria’s Journey), is one girl’s epic battle to reconcile her past by facing the unseen demons of her present.  Her story begins in a farm in rural Chile, where a young and impressionable Ana Maria witnesses the untimely death of her parents and the chilling exorcism of her close cousin and confidant Rosalinda.  At the apex of her family’s struggle Ana Maria’s journey takes an unexpected turn.  Obeying the last wishes of her dying mother, she is sent to live with her estranged family in Panama.

Panama’s vibrant colors and sounds are a drastic contrast to her quiet childhood in Chile. Married at age 18 and pregnant by 19 she struggles to make ends meet as a secretary. When her husband abandons her a distressing family life becomes her only reality.  Her older and worldly boss is an author of the esoteric.  While seeking to publish his works Ana Maria is persuaded to experiment with the spiritual realm, where mind travel becomes a gateway to her diabolical past.

An astral journey deteriorates the fine line between reality and the spiritual. Living a personal hell on earth Ana Maria faces a titanic battle to keep her sanity.  Torn between two worlds and reliving Rosalinda’s exorcism, the ghost of her estranged cousin begins to haunt her thoughts and dreams now seeking the life of her newborn.

In her darkest hour Ana Maria is forced to surrender or confront her tormentor, her past and her God.
